Since the beginning of the month, macosXrumors received a lot of mails from readers (and also a lot of spam) that caused bandwidth problems with the mail exchange server macosxrumors.com domain points to. As a result, a lot of incoming mails never came to me.

According to sources, the build 7B39 of Panther was seeded late this week to developers through Apple Developer Connection web site. This build brings mainly bug fixes. My sources might send me more detailed reports by early next week. I will keep you informed if there are interesting news about it, so stay tuned, and don't hesitate to send me reports or screenshots when needed, if you have the chance to test it.

According to sources, for whose reliability has yet to be verified, game software developer Valve is considering porting the second part of its best seller-game "Half Life 2" to Mac OS X.

Apple has seeded the build 7B28 of Panther on Tuesday. As expected, the development team focused mainly on fixing the bugs found in earlier builds. This version is said to be quite stable. Sources could install it with no problems and they could even use it for several hours without a problem.

Some sources indicated that we should not expect any new features at this stage of the development but it's still not out of the question.

During my short holidays, sources sent me a lot of information about the latest Panther seeded builds allowing me to write this full review of the latest developments on Panther. I know that other sites have already posted reviews with screenshots and that I'm quite late but, I think it's still interesting to post my review with the information I could gather.
