Replaceable battery on the iPhone 3G?
According to first disassembles of the iPhone 3G, some good news for those who were complaining about the original iPhone's soldered battery have emerged.
It appears that Apple has listened to users and addressed one of the biggest issues of the original iPhone's hardware.
In the new iPhone 3G, the enclosure can now be opened by removing two screws located near the dock connector and the battery can be removed as it's not soldered in the circuity.
That should improve significantly the global life of the device as battery is usually the first component to fail on a mobile device.
The iFixIt team, which flew to New Zealand to be among the first to have it also provides a full article and gallery showing their findings inside the iPhone 3G.
