Successful iPhone launch in the UK and Germany

As planned, Apple introduced the iPhone in the U.K. and Germany last Friday. The first figures appear to be good for both countries.

Both O2 and T-Mobile, the respective iPhone carriers for the U.K. and Germany, claim to have sold tens of thousands iPhones during the first week-end after the launch.

The only specific number was provided by T-Mobile, which claims more than 10 000 units were sold the first day.

Apple sold 270 000 iPhones during the first week-end after the launch of the device in the U.S., it has since sold more than two million iPhones.

France is now awaiting the iPhone for November 29.
