The Apple-Orange iPhone deal still underway?

On an article published on the French Magazine Paris Match. Louis-Pierre Wenne, an Orange's senior executive, says that an Apple-Orange deal is still in negotiation and that we shouldn't expect the iPhone to arrive in France before Q4 as some reports have suggested.

MacScoop recently published a report claiming Orange is nearing or may have signed a deal with Apple for the availability of the iPhone in France. The report said that Orange had offered to buy a 50 000 iPhones initial stock and share its revenue with the mobile device maker. It also said that the company was preparing its sales and marketing workforce, just in case of a release on November.

The report was confirmed by a Financial Times article a week later, as it claimed that Apple had signed revenue sharing deals with T-Online, Orange and O2, respectively for Germany, France and the UK.
